The Ceramic Hobbyist is a distributor for a few companies. Duncan, Scioto, Arnel, Ceramichrome, and Alberta molds. As you can tell, four out of the five companies have given up producing their own molds. Ceramichrome is still being produced under Ceramichrome. We can still order Duncan, Scioto and Alberta, but not on such a timely basis as before. Please call to see when our next order will be made so we can determine when the molds can be expected to arrive.
Here in Hawaii, the most expensive barrier to overcome is the shipping factor. Many of the large ceramic mold companies that have been in business for decades are closing their doors due to various economic factors. Ceramic master molds of these various companies have been sold or have even been destroyed. The quality of the molds should still be of excellent quality and you have nothing to fear. The Ceramic Hobbyist can decrease the shipping costs if your are here in Hawaii. We do our best to consolidate the mold orders so we can lower our shipping cost. This means a lower shipping charge for you the customer. If your are inquiring about mold prices from the mainland or elsewhere, you may want to order the molds direct to save you some money.
