Jonah Jameson, Harry Osborne) and super-villains (Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, the Vulture, The Lizard, and hundreds more) created by Stan Lee… and art by the best-known Spider-Man artists, Steve Ditko and John Romita, Sr., among others… these digital images were scanned from the original historic paper comic books provided by Marvel editor and collector Ralph Macchio. (Scanned from the original paper comic books, so some images may be a bit soiled, or may contain slight discolorations or small degrading of pages such as small tears, creases, or light pen marks. But that's what gives this product its historical value and character.)
There is simply no other way to read the first 501 issues of Spider-Man so inexpensively: not in the original comic books (which would cost tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars to find & purchase)… not in the dozens & dozens of reprint comic book compilations… and not in the hardcover and trade paperback bound volumes, which would themselves cost hundreds of dollars to buy, and only go up chronologically to Issue #100 or so (with various other mini-series and thematic volumes sold separately and adding to the total cost).
